Technician Mobile Workflow

This guide walks technicians through using the Revofield mobile app to manage jobs in the field — from viewing your assigned work to completing a job.

Viewing Your Jobs

Open the app and you'll see My Jobs — a list of all jobs assigned to you. Jobs are grouped by status so you can quickly see what's coming up and what's in progress.

Use the search bar at the top to find a specific job by title or customer name.

Working a Job

Tap any job to open its details. At the bottom of the screen, you'll see action buttons that guide you through each step.

1. En Route

When you're heading to the job site, tap En Route.

  • Your status changes to En Route on the dispatch board
  • The customer receives an SMS or email with your estimated arrival time
  • GPS tracking starts (if enabled by your company)

2. Check In

When you arrive at the job site, tap Check In.

  • Your arrival time is recorded automatically
  • The job status changes to In Progress
  • You can now add notes, photos, and complete checklists

3. During the Job

While on-site, use the tools available on the job detail screen:

Notes — Tap the notes icon to add observations, findings, or updates. These are saved to the job timeline and visible to your office team in real time.

Photos — Take before, during, and after photos directly from the app. Add captions to describe what each photo shows. Your company may require at least one photo before you can check out.

Checklists — If your company has set up checklists for this type of job, complete each item as you go. Mandatory checklists must be finished before you can check out.

Signature — If your company requires a customer signature, tap Capture Signature and have the customer sign on screen. This must be done before checking out.

4. Check Out

When the work is done, tap Check Out.

Before checking out, make sure you have:

  • Completed all mandatory checklists
  • Taken required photos (if your company requires them)
  • Captured the customer signature (if required)

The app will warn you if anything is missing and won't let you check out until requirements are met.

Once you check out:

  • Your finish time is recorded
  • The job status changes to Completed
  • Your office team is notified

Offline Mode

The app works even without an internet connection. When you're offline:

  • You can still tap En Route, Check In, and Check Out
  • Notes and photos are saved locally
  • Everything syncs automatically when you're back online

A sync indicator at the top shows your connection status and last sync time.
